We have a permanent full-time vacancy for an experienced team leader with gardening and maintenance experience available. The successful applicant will lead our team of gardeners carrying out the very best professional garden maintenance service in the industry.
A proven experience in supervising a small team, and strong communication skills are essential.
Day to day responsibility for supervising a dedicated maintenance team, working for both commercial and domestic customers. This will involve managing standards, supervising work and providing on-site training. Other specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Planning and organising work schedules and resources.
Ensuring work is completed safely, to the quality expected, and within agreed time frames.
Ensure all equipment and machinery is kept well maintained and in good working order.
Provide training to team members as and when required.
To establish and maintain good working relationships with customers
This is a hands-on role and it is important that candidates should have good technical and practical skills in grounds and garden maintenance including: mowing, strimming, hedge cutting, general garden clearance, pruning, planting, bed preparation etc.
We seek candidates who are hard-working and reliable, who have good leadership skills, can use their initiative to sort out problems, as well as strong communication skills and the ability to plan and organise work making the most effective use of resources.
A full, clean driving licence & references will be required and a horticultural qualification Level 2 or above is highly desirable. PA1 and PA6 qualifications would also be advantageous.

Own transport is essential due to remote location of business.
