This proposal reimagines a historic Devon boat store as a contemporary pub and diner, creating a welcoming social space at ground floor while introducing thoughtfully designed owner's accommodation above. The scheme carefully preserves the building's character and traditional form, combining modern interventions with the heritage of the existing structure to ensure its long-term future.

The proposed perspective has been produced using AI-assisted visualisation to communicate the design intent and bring the concept to life.

Breathing new life into a neglected Cornish cottage through a sensitive restoration and contemporary extension. This project transforms a building that had fallen into disrepair into a high-quality one-bedroom holiday retreat, balancing the character of the original fabric with clean, modern detailing.

The design focuses on improving thermal performance, enhancing natural light, and creating calm, minimalist interiors while celebrating the building's heritage. The result is a warm, inviting Airbnb designed for modern coastal living.

The project upgrades the existing roof using traditional Delabole slate, improving the building's performance while respecting its coastal character and original materials. A simple intervention designed to extend the life of an important public building.

A bespoke garage and first-floor studio designed to respond to its unique estuary setting in Cornwall. The proposal combines locally sourced stone, natural timber and a slate roof to create a contemporary interpretation of traditional Cornish architecture, balancing functionality with a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.

I am really pleased to confirm that we have managed to secure planning permission for the iconic Observation Wheel on Plymouth Hoe.

This landmark attraction is the result of months of negotiation and collaboration with a forward thinking client and a pro-active council.

The Observation Wheel will offer significant views over Plymouth and the Sound on a temporary basis for the next four years.

I am really proud to play a part in bringing this exciting project to life and contributing to the vibrant future of Plymouth’s waterfront.

South Hams Lodge

One of our earliest projects, this two-storey holiday lodge combines organic form with high-spec design. The open-plan living space is positioned on the upper floor to maximise stunning views over the South Hams.

Constructed using local materials, the lodge features stone and timber cladding alongside a natural slate roof, allowing it to blend seamlessly into its surroundings and complement the landscape.

Commercial Conversion

This project involves the conversion of an existing commercial unit into a functional printing factory, with the internal layout tailored to support workflow and operational efficiency.

The building is divided into two distinct zones, and a new mezzanine level has been introduced to maximise usable floor space — providing additional storage and workspace while maintaining clear circulation routes. The design carefully balances practical demands with the constraints of the existing structure.

A single-storey rear extension to a semi-detached property, Cheltenham takes inspiration from the modern London townhouse typology.

The design introduces interior courtyards and carefully positioned light wells to maximise natural light and foster a strong connection to the outdoors. A seamless transition between the kitchen, living, and dining areas creates a versatile and inviting family space, while an external decking area extends the living environment for relaxation and entertaining.

A former cow barn reimagined as a bespoke retirement cottage through a sensitive Class Q conversion.

Designed with sustainability at its core, the scheme incorporates locally sourced materials and energy-efficient solutions while preserving the barn’s original character. The result is a home that respects both its rural context and agricultural heritage — maintaining the traditional form and scale within the landscape.
