A few horrors found this week on a rural rewire, along with rats in the attic chewing through cables and some illegal plant growing.
2nd picture shows the dangers of loose connections. Connections can work loose over time, so it's a good idea to have your property checked at least every 10 years for domestic installations.
3rd picture shows an oversized cable taking a supply from a lighting circuit to supply some UV lights, heaters etc.
Issues that could have arisen from both these problems include melting of cable insulation and ultimately a fire. Dangers would have been significantly reduced with an up to date consumer unit.

Some stylish over/under cabinet lighting on a nice new kitchen install

New 3-phase supply installed at a local business to feed some 400v machinery. Also, a single phase supply taken from the 3-phase to feed some 230v lighting and power in the workshop.

Some dado trunking fitted in a couple of offices in Carmarthen this week. Complete with plenty of sockets, data points and power pole for handy access to power and data in the centre of the room.

Nice little consumer unit replacement in Neyland.
Old board didn't comply (No RCD protection), so brought up to standard with RCBO's (individual RCD protection incorporated into MCB's). Also, noticed during changeover a nasty burn marks caused by a loose neutral. Always a good idea to get you property electrically checked within it's recommended time frame.
