Here’s a porch we have recently constructed in Sawbridgeworth. Porch’s are a great addition to help combat droughts from a front door, they also create that necessary space for shoes and coats etc.

This porch was constructed from timber frame and clad with painted rebated cladding to match the existing bungalow gable.

Here’s another recent Artificial turf project. As always this was laid on a minimum of 100mm of permeable type 3 hardcore along with two layers of w**d control membrane and a granite dust laying course as opposed to sand. We then fix the grass to a concrete border instead of wood that can rot for the best longevity your grass can get.

Here’s a recent complete garden renovation completed in sawbridgeworth.

The job included creating 3 tiered flat levels as the garden was sloping front to back along with, multiple sandstone patio areas. Along with two artificial turf areas as well as two lawned areas. We also added a couple of batten screens to create privacy in different parts of the garden.

We worked with the client from start to finish on design and working within their budget for a garden they had dreamt of.

Take a look at another recent garden renovation. This client hadn’t long moved into their property, they was after something low maintenance and dog friendly.

We installed a new ivory porcelain patio along with a large Astro turfed area edged with a paving border. The client also wanted to future proof the end of the garden ready for a garden room in the future with a six inch reinforced concrete slab.

Here’s a new astroturfed lawn we have completed in Harlow. The client had tried and tried to keep their lawn looking pristine but unfortunately there dog had other ideas.

We understand that for environmental purposes real grass is a much friendly option but for some practicality is key. You can still add pollenating flowers to your garden through pots or hanging baskets to help nature out!

Here at J Kenny Construction we take the preparation of our sub base for Astro turf very seriously. This starts with a 150mm excavation of the existing ground, we then lay a w**d control layer and 100mm of type 3 permeable hardcore. To fix our grass down we like to install a composite batten which is concreted in to the perimeter ready to fix to. We then screed a layer of granite dust rather than sharp sand along with another w**d control layer and finally the grass. All these steps ensure your grass has the most chance of longevity and cleanliness.

Here’s a recent patio refurbishment that we undertook in Sawbridgeworth. The project involved removing the old patio, levelling the existing area and then installing a new Limestone patio. The clients choice of paving really has complimented it’s surroundings, here’s a review from the client.

Joe and his team were extremely professional throughout the entire patio project. They were courteous, always on time, and made sure to clean up thoroughly at the end of each day.

Their attention to detail was excellent, and it’s clear they bring a high level of experience to their work. I’m absolutely delighted with my new patio, so much so that many of my guests regularly comment on how great it looks.
