Great progress is being made at our Buckland Street and Wimbourne Street projects in Hoxton, where our roofing works are progressing well across the development.

Our scope includes the installation of Bauder Total Roofing Systems across multiple main roof areas, link roofs and terraces, incorporating tapered insulation schemes designed to achieve the required falls, drainage performance and long-term waterproofing integrity.

Cold-applied liquid waterproofing systems are also being installed on designated balcony areas, providing a seamless, fully bonded and durable waterproof finish.

In addition, our team is completing all associated metal flashings, perimeter edge details, and hard and soft finishes in line with the project specification and design requirements.

Roof-safe access systems have also been installed, including freestanding handrail systems and man-safe systems, helping to provide safe access for future inspection and maintenance.

All works are being delivered by trained and competent operatives in accordance with approved drawings, relevant British Standards, Bauder installation guidelines and project requirements.

T & T Roofing Limited has recently commenced works on a new project at the prestigious Wycombe Abbey School.

The project involves the installation of a bituminous felt membrane warm roof build-up with green roof finishes, providing a robust and sustainable roofing solution. Works also include the installation of PPC aluminium fascia and soffit, together with Mansafe systems to facilitate safe future access and maintenance.

Our team is currently on site carrying out the initial stages of the programme with the waterproofing to the main roof, before returning to complete the lower level and green roof finishes, and we look forward to progressing the works over the coming months.

We’re proud to announce the launch of the T & T Roofing Limited Apprentice Programme, which officially began on 13th April.

Over the next couple of months, we will welcome one new apprentice each week into our business - creating opportunities for local people to learn a skilled trade, gain hands-on experience, and build long-term careers within the roofing industry.

At T & T Roofing Limited, we believe our responsibility goes beyond delivering quality workmanship. Investing in people and supporting the next generation is a core part of our company’s social values.

By the end of the programme, 20 apprentices will have taken their first steps into the trade - something we are incredibly proud to support.

T & T Roofing Limited continues to grow and we’re looking to appoint an experienced Senior Contracts Manager to support our upcoming pipeline of work and help further develop our operations department.

This is a senior with full responsibility for delivering multiple roofing projects from handover through to final account. You’ll be client-facing, leading an immediate office team and site operatives, managing programmes, controlling costs, and taking ownership of performance and delivery.

We’re looking for someone commercially aware, organised and decisive, with proven experience in roofing and the wider building envelope. Experience is essential.

T & T Roofing Limited is pleased to announce that we have recently secured a new project in East London.

The scheme comprises a Bauder specification, incorporating a combination of BauderGLAS non-combustible & PIR flat board warm roofing with reinforced bituminous membranes (RBM), inverted hot melt (HM), and liquid applied membranes (LAM). The works span approximately 16,000m² across multiple blocks, levels, balconies, and podium areas, with a total of 530 Rainwater Outlets (RWO) across the project.

The project also includes a diverse range of finishes, such as green roofing with log pile features and over 4,000m² of aluminium decking. While this is a significant project, the programme is tight, with completion scheduled for early 2027.

As part of our commitment to social value, we have employed a number of apprentices from New City College in Tower Hamlets, supporting local skills development and opportunities.

The roofing package is valued in excess of £5 million.

This project forms part of the Rivermark development, a major residential-led scheme. Located on the site of the former Poplar Bus Depot, the development will deliver 530 new homes alongside commercial space, including offices, shops, and restaurants, across six buildings.

Set along the banks of the River Lea, the development will offer one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, with amenities including a private lounge, concierge services, a landscaped courtyard, and a rooftop terrace. An enhanced riverside walkway will also be created for residents and the wider community.

We secured this project in early 2025 with an immediate start on site, initially undertaking temporary works to enable the programme.

Over the past year, works have progressed continuously across multiple levels and areas. The roofing package includes a Bauder (RBM) reinforced bituminous membrane system to the main roof areas, installed over a tapered warm roof build-up. Green roof systems are being applied across all primary roof areas, with cold-applied liquid waterproofing to balconies and communal walkways, finished with concrete paving on adjustable pedestals.

With completion scheduled for April, focus is now firmly on maintaining programme and driving through to handover and final sign-off. Resource levels have been increased accordingly to ensure delivery remains on track.

The project presents the typical challenges of a constrained central London site, with limited storage and a heavy reliance on well-coordinated logistics and deliveries. Monthly supervisor and director site walks with all trades have been a key driver in keeping the project on track we feel. These sessions have played an important role in maintaining quality, programme and health & safety standards throughout.

T & T Roofing Limited is pleased to confirm the successful award and commencement of roofing works at Vanguard Self Storage, Maidenhead, following instruction from the client.

The existing property is being refurbished into a modern self-storage facility, delivering approximately 660 units across three floors, alongside upgraded infrastructure, sustainability measures and enhanced security provisions.

We have been appointed to deliver the Sika-specified flat roofing and associated metalwork package. This includes a mechanically fixed Sika single-ply membrane overlay (with appropriate wind load calculations undertaken), a freestanding perimeter handrail system, and bespoke powder coated aluminium metalwork including secret-fix fascia cassette panels, soffits, rainwater downpipes and hoppers, together with parapet cappings and associated detailing.

Works commenced in March 2026 with completion scheduled for May 2026. The scope includes work on the main roof, lift overruns, plant rooms and associated screens.

T & T Roofing Limited, the manufacturer, and our external health and safety advisors are conducting regular inspections to support quality assurance throughout and contribute to a smooth completion and handover process.

We recently took part in the Lovell Homes Charity 5-a-Side Football Tournament held at Powerleague Shoreditch, where 18 subcontractors fielded teams in a Champions League–style format.

The event was organised in memory of Lee White, a highly respected and much-missed Lovell site manager who we had the privilege of working alongside on several projects.

The day raised vital funds for two excellent charities — Crohn's & Colitis UK and Bridge the Gap Football.

Despite the weather (and the football), it was a thoroughly enjoyable and well-organised event. Credit to everyone at Lovell Homes, particularly Matthew Wickham and Alexandra Robins, for putting the day together.

It was also good to catch up with some of our industry friends DPC Contracts LTD (tournament winners), ATEC, MV Electrical.

Thank you to Lovell Homes for the invitation.

Fortunately, we are far better at roofing than we are at football these days.

Works commenced on site this week following extensive design development, technical coordination and planning for this constrained site in the heart of Fitzrovia.

We have been working closely with the client to prepare for delivery on this restricted and tightly managed site. The project includes a full Bauder specification, incorporating a tapered warm roof build-up, the Safe2Torch flame-free felt system, green roof areas and a solar PV installation.

Although relatively small in scale for us, the planning and ex*****on on this project are critical. With limited space available, the works require careful coordination, timed deliveries and strict adherence to site restrictions including controlled working hours and noise limitations. Loading and material handling are particularly challenging. Restricted access and limited unloading space mean deliveries must be carefully sequenced and managed to avoid disruption in this busy central London location.

In addition to the main roof area, several link roofs are also part of the scope.

As with all our projects, we will undertake Electronic Leak Detection (ELD) before installing the final roof coverings.

It is also good to be working beneath a temp scaffold roof on this project, protecting the works from the weather and allowing the installation programme to progress efficiently….no excuses from the site team on rainy days.

We look forward to sharing progress updates over the coming weeks and showcasing the completed project. With a tight programme in place, work is expected to complete in April.
