Don’t just ask how much it costs.

Ask yourself:
Have they explained what actually needs doing?
Have they given you options?
Have they told you whether it can be repaired, or if replacing really is the better choice?

Because a good job starts before any tools come out.
It starts with understanding the problem properly.

Your home is important, and you should feel comfortable with the person working on it.
Sometimes it’s a quick repair.
Sometimes it’s a bigger job.

But either way, you should know exactly why.
Good advice matters just as much as good workmanship.

That’s not always an option. Last week we attended a sliding door not working correctly and another local company said needs new £7k.
Not us!! We replaced the wheels and a new track leaving the door working, secure and a customer feeling so happy

Before and after!! You may think “what have they done??”
We had to replace 2 doors fitted 4 years earlier when the property was built. To say the fitting was poor was an understatement and the product was very badly manufactured. The draughts were so bad it was like having the door fully opened. Now it’s snug and warm with our new doors.

It’s not speed!

It’s knowing what you’re looking at.

Because experience teaches you things you can’t always learn from a book or a video.

It’s spotting the small details before they become bigger problems.

Knowing when something needs replacing…

and knowing when it doesn’t.

Understanding why something has happened, not just fixing what you can see. Don’t get me wrong, everyone has to start somewhere, we all did.

But after 30+ years in the trade, you realise the biggest skill isn’t just fitting windows and doors.

It’s problem solving. And that only comes from years of turning up, learning, and doing the job properly 👌
