We completed a commercial BMS electrical installation within a hospice environment as part of a wider boiler plant replacement project.

A key challenge with projects of this type is transitioning from old to new systems without disrupting building operation. In this case, the existing boiler system was fully decommissioned while the new plant and BMS infrastructure were brought online, with no downtime during the changeover.

From an electrical and controls perspective, this required careful sequencing of works. New containment routes, power supplies, control panels, and field wiring were installed and tested in advance, allowing the new system to be commissioned before the final switchover.

The scope included installation of a new Hager three-phase distribution board, a Medem gas safety system for monitoring and automatic isolation, and a fully rewired, custom-built BMS control panel to suit the new plant arrangement.

The images show the completed containment, panels, and plant connections, all installed with safe access, maintenance, and future operation in mind.

Dan's journey with us begun with prior subcontracting experience, now he embarks on a five-year PAYE apprenticeship. It's a path I personally know well, having entered this industry through a similar apprenticeship. In fact, Dan is the second apprentice we've welcomed into our ranks.

Commercial kitchen electrical upgrade, lots of new sockets/fixed wiring points all having to scramble around loads of old infrastructure.

We had to keep all existing points live until switch over.

All completed handing over a kitchen with double the electrical capacity for more service, safely!

All new LED light with emergency lighting thrown in for good measure too 👌

This week, I had the amazing opportunity to share my passion with the future generation at my son's preschool. I created a small electrical demonstration rig and provided the children with mini PPE, fueling their curiosity and igniting their imaginations.

The night before, I couldn't resist giving my son Parker a sneak peek of what was to come. The excitement in his eyes reminded me of the endless possibilities that lie ahead for these young minds.
