One of our renovations in Newport is coming along really well and is on track to be finished early next week!

Here’s a before picture alongside an update from today 👀

A huge amount of preparation work has gone into this one already to help turn it into a real dream kitchen. From the groundwork right through to the finer details, we’re really happy with how it’s progressing so far.

🔥 NEW KITCHEN INSTALL 🔥

As I said in my previous post, we’re currently carrying out four full renovations back to back for different clients and we kickstarted this one on Bank Holiday Monday!

First stage was the kitchen — old one ripped out and the new one now going in 🔨

This is what we managed to get done on day one… one man, one day 💪 Really happy with the progress so far and looking forward to showing you all the finished result 👌

Just finished a loft project on a property from the 80s with pre-made trusses—so no load-bearing floor was allowed without risking the roof structure.

The customer wanted to use the loft for storage, so we had to come up with a proper solution.

What we did was install a ledge plate off the structural walls either side, sitting above the existing trusses, then framed it out using 8x2 structural timbers. Due to access, we used 3m lengths and bolted them together using M12 bolts, with dog tooth washers between the cleats and joists to lock everything in solid so there’s no movement.

This now allows floorboards to go down safely and gives the customer a strong, usable storage space without affecting the integrity of the roof.

Customer’s over the moon, and so are we 👍

First fix electrics underway by Amos Electrics ⚡️

Also removed the old back door into the lean-to and opened it up with a bigger frame + new 44mm glazed external door 🚪 makes a massive difference already

This one’s gonna look proper when it’s done 👀
