This weekend I've been on the SPAB Pargetting course ran by Bill Sargant, Sean Wheatly, Michel Wolf and Andrew Fawcett.

Had a brilliant day learning about Pargetting and came out with an almost finished peice. Still a long way to go but very happy with my first attempt and a very good way to discover to what goes in behind actually doing it, will be practicing stuff like this behind the scenes!

Supposed to be 2 fighting hares, a yorkshire rose in the middle with 2 wavy weird plant leaf things at either side!

T R Sutcliffe Plastering Services Sheffield Plasterers this week have been really busy in Sheffield in Abbeydale.

A full re plaster of a bedroom, hacking off tired old sand and cement, re boarding the walls and overboarding the ceiling.

Much needed rest after that one!

Over the weekend we did a small job for Greens Bathroom Company. A small ceiling to plaster, then a small patch after a leak had happened.

This week I've been out with fever and cold 🤧
But at the start of the week I completed an introduction to fibrous plastering day course at the Keith Langton Workshop! Was a great look into the traditional fibrous world!

Peeling paint? Holes in ceiling? Dusty background? Stabilizing solution to the rescue!

The paint had failed due to a limewash coating on the ceiling and a mist coat not been applied as well so the paint was coming away in sheets, watch the video to find out how we dealt with it!

A small video of a stipple artex ceiling we transformed last week, after taking down some old and tired coving aswell. We overboarded and skimmed the ceiling then added some new 127mm standard 'C' shaped coving.
