Another busy week of EV charger installations completed, and here are just a few of them… ⚡🔋

Every customer has different requirements, and this week was a great example of the variety of charging solutions available.

🏡 Simpson & Partners 7kW Plus – Installed for a customer who wanted a charger that complemented their property’s appearance. The colour-matched finish blends seamlessly with the external brickwork, proving that EV charging doesn’t have to compromise on aesthetics.

⚡ Ohme ePod – This customer had unfortunately been let down by their original installation provider, leaving them reliant on expensive public charging. We stepped in to get them up and running, allowing them to take advantage of cheaper overnight home charging and get the convenience they were promised.

☀️ Hypervolt Home 3 Pro – Finished in black and installed for a customer looking to maximise the benefits of their solar PV and battery storage system. The Hypervolt’s smart energy features help make the most of self-generated electricity, reducing reliance on grid power and lowering charging costs.

⚡ WE’RE HIRING — FULL TIME EV CHARGER INSTALLER ⚡

GoEV is growing.

Due to continued growth, increasing demand, and a rising workload, we’re looking for a Full-Time EV Charger Installer to join our team.

We’re seeking a competent, customer-focused electrician who takes real pride in their work and wants to grow with a fast-moving EV charging company.

🔧 What we’re looking for:
• Experience installing a range of EV chargers across domestic & commercial properties
• Ability to deliver an outstanding customer journey and experience every time
• Full clean UK driving licence
• Willingness to travel
• Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and problem solve on-site
• Professional attitude and strong communication skills

📜 Preferred qualifications & certifications:
• City & Guilds 2921 EV Charging qualification (or equivalent)
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)
• Inspection & Testing qualification (2391 or equivalent)
• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation
• ECS Gold Card preferred
• NAPIT or NICEIC registered (or working towards)

Additional experience beneficial:
• OZEV-compliant installations
• DNO notifications
• Load balancing & smart charging systems
• PEN fault protection knowledge

📍 Location:
• Primarily South Yorkshire, however there will be a requirement to travel both regionally and nationally when required for larger scale installations and project work.

We’re also open to supporting the right candidate with additional training and registrations.

Another clean EV charger installation completed in Rotherham 🔋⚡

This customer has recently switched to Octopus Energy and paired their new Untethered ePod with the Intelligent Go tariff — unlocking smart charging and cheaper off-peak rates 🙌

To achieve the cleanest finish possible, we lifted sections of block paving and buried our go-to EV Ultra beneath the surface, keeping visible cabling to an absolute minimum. EV Ultra combines power and data in a single cable, making installations cleaner, more efficient and future-ready ⚡

For the exposed sections, we used black clips rather than traditional plastic cleats — a small detail, but one that creates a much neater finish and blends seamlessly with the black cabling for a more premium overall look 👌
