Well what a year it’s been!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2021 was another fantastic year for The Aztech Group! Our main success came from continued organic growth of the business and a focus on strengthening our relationships with existing clients through hard work and a focus on customer service. Probably our favourite project of 2021 was this fire damaged dairy shed in Carlisle. In addition to removing 1000m² of asbestos cement roof and wall panels, 500m² of asbestos cement debris from the floor (and surrounding areas) plus decontaminating five burnt out tractors, we also had to pump away and remove from site over 250’000 litres of contaminated water to access further asbestos debris within below ground slurry pits. It was a huge challenge which required a lot of planning and research to execute, but as always the job was done to the highest standard and the client was more than happy with the end product! Working in the rolling hills of Cumbria surrounded by stunning scenery and a heard of dairy cows for company also made the job a pleasure to be involved in. Well done team and here’s to an exciting year ahead.

This is part of our ongoing commitment to the safety of all our staff and customers and we employ this level of detail and diligence in all aspects of our work.

Asbestos in textured coating (artex) was very common years ago, here is a textured coating removal we carried out back to brick. The house was handed back, clean, safe and ready for the refurbishment work, another very happy customer!

CHAS are the ‘Number 1’ accrediting body for Health and Safety and the Premium Plus standard is the highest level they award. “During a recent discovery of Asbestos by an Engie tradesman, The Aztech Group were approached (Friday 4.30pm) and asked if they would contain a sample of the ACM (asbestos containing material) and send for Lab testing (this wasn’t their job). Without hesitation a member of The Aztech Group staff attended the site and took the sample for analysis. Fast / proactive / professional / co-operative team effort.”

With Spring in the air The Aztech Group have been receiving an increased number of requests from home owners to remove old asbestos cement garages. Most old cement garages are an eye sore and are often leaking, falling down and potentially unsafe to people wanting to enjoy their garden this summer. The Aztech Group offer a complete garage removal service leaving the home owner with a blank canvas from which to prepare their garden for the summer ahead. Here at The Aztech Group we pride ourselves on being reactive to our client’s needs. Having previously completed several bitumen adhesive to floor removal jobs for this client in the past, they came to us with an unusual problem on a project they were involved in. On this occasion a wooden floor they were commissioned to replace had proved almost impossible to remove using ‘normal’ techniques and after spending four days chipping away at it, they eventually gave up and called us to see if we could help. With a bit of research and the purchasing of some new equipment we successfully removed the damaged wooden floor and took the surface back to a smooth concrete base ready for their next phase of works. We like projects like this, a little bit out of the ordinary, but a problem solved and another happy customer.
