Finally managing some time to do the rounds and visit some completed projects from over a year ago. This one in Fulwood required the demolition of several offshot extensions over the years to create a balanced aesthetic. A job well done & the clients love it!!

Here are some pictures of a single storey rear and side extension of one of our projects in Dore. Our clients wished to demolish the existing garage and carport on the side of their semi-detached house and create a single storey rear and side extension. The side extension will contain a new cloak room, toilet, office and garden store, and the rear extension includes a combined living
/ kitchen / dining space. We assisted our clients through the design process by exploring a number of design solution to assist them in ascertaining which worked best for their budget. The 3D model proved a very useful tool in informing these decisions, as our clients were able to visualise the look and feel of the space more easily.

I was really looking forward to seeing this project completed, it's been a long wait, but it's been so worth it!! Our design has maximised the use of light in the new rear extension that was recently completed at Falkland Road.

The use of materials such as the exposed timber joists, picture window seat and hardwood floors add plenty of warmth to the lovely open kitchen/dining/snug space 😍

Felt amazing visiting this single storey rear and side extension that we completed in Dore recently. The clients were thrilled and so were we, it looks fantastic!!

It involved the demolition of the existing garage, wc off-shot and carport/shed and constructing an open plan kitchen/dining/seating space within the new rear extension which is connected to a new side extension comprising of an entrance hall, utility store, office and garden store.

The redesign of the existing property creates a highly functional and well connected living/work space that flows out onto the garden. It has been extremely satisfying assisting our clients through the design process.

After having worked on 30 projects last year, I was so thrilled to finally have to time to visit one of our happy clients after our single storey rear extension design for their mid terrace property was completed.

The designed expanded their kitchen area allowing for a larger open kitchen dining space, and also allowed for the creation of a utility area and downstairs wc all of which will significantly contribute to adding value to the property!

The large glazed doors from the dining space onto an outer raised deck provides excellent views of the rear garden and the rooflight brings light into the deep plan. What do you think?

The extension comprises of a new combined living, kitchen and dining space effectively increasing the ground floor of the property by 40%. Quite a complex planning process as the site sits adjacent a railway track and approvals as required were obtained from network rail.

Can't wait to see this single storey side extension at Millhouses complete soon. The extension opens up the house to allow an open kitchen, dining and snug, really improving the social space 😄

And great work as always by Dean McHale would highly recommend!
