Today’s job was all about bringing some life back into the staircase we repaired earlier this month in Brinsworth, Rotherham 🔨🏡

As this property is a flip project, our customer didn’t want the expense of a brand-new staircase or even a full staircase refurbishment.

After discussing the options, we decided to clad the two very old (and very wonky! 😂) newel posts in MDF to give them a much cleaner, more modern appearance. We also installed a new half newel at the opposite end, along with a grooved base rail ready for the glass panels.

It’s amazing what a difference a few well chosen upgrades can make without breaking the budget 👌🏻

We’ll be back with some final photos once the glass is installed, and hopefully a few more once the full property transformation is complete 📸

Can’t wait to see this one finished!

But today… I’ve dropped a proper bo***ck! 😂

Started laying this shed base only to realise I’d only ordered HALF the slabs we needed. 🤦🏻‍♂️

No problem though, Lewis McMichael & MKM are dropping another 10 off tomorrow and we’ll get it finished off. 🚚💪🏻

Even the best of us have those days!

The tools are packed away, the van is parked up, and like millions across the country we’ll be cheering on England tonight! 🦁🦁🦁

We’ve spent all week building roofs, repairing staircases, and transforming homes… now it’s England’s turn to get the job done! 💪🏻🏆

Not every day on the tools is glamorous! 😂

Today has been all about admin, quoting, planning upcoming projects, collecting materials, and… even more admin! 📋☕️

Whilst the paperwork might not be as exciting as building, it’s what keeps every project running smoothly from start to finish. 🔨🏡

We’ll be back on site tomorrow and looking forward to sharing photos from a shed base project we’re currently working on. 👀

Another project wrapped up! 🔨🏡

✅ Composite cladding complete
✅ Bay roof complete

We’re really pleased with how this one has turned out. Now we just need to repair the main roof gutter and get the scaffold down so we can get some proper photos and show off the finished result! 📸

A huge thank you to AJR Roofing for their hard work and support on this project 💪🏻

Teamwork really does make the dream work.

No rest for us though! we’ve got a busy week ahead with a shed base installation and a staircase refurbishment lined up next.

What a productive day on our project in Handsworth, Sheffield, working alongside AJR Roofing 🔨🏡

✅ Old roof stripped and removed
✅ Brand-new roof installed
✅ Centre section of the bay removed
✅ New framework installed, ready for composite cladding

The transformation is really starting to take shape, and we couldn’t be happier with the progress made today.

Tomorrow we’ll be revealing the finished roof and showing you exactly how we install the composite cladding.

🏡 Got an unused space that’s just collecting clutter?

This customer had an old outhouse that was rarely used and taking up valuable space. Rather than letting it go to waste, they decided to turn it into something practical that could be used every day.

The brief was simple, create a small bedroom/home office.

✅ External door partially blocked up
✅ New windows installed
✅ Internal doorway formed
✅ Electrics & plumbing installed
✅ Fully insulated
✅ Boarded & plastered
✅ Joinery completed

Bay window stud work completed this morning with an MDF window board installed 🔨

Next week on this project we are replacing the bay window roof with AJR Roofing 💪🏻

There is also new cladding from Cladco Profiles to be installed between the upstairs and downstairs bays 👌🏻
