Last week I finished up on the second part of landscaping project using west yorkshire sandstone for low walls, planters and seating. Large hard standing areas were also laid using natural stone paving. These hardlandscaping additions to the garden have been a transformation to the outdoor space

Just finished a nice little project restoring a curving retaining wall supporting a raised flower bed. I wound up using an additional 11 tonnes of sandstone and the results were pleasing for the client and myself.

Here is a couple of recent walling gap repair/rebuilds around Sheffield after sections had collapsed. Very satisfying jobs- making the structure safe and trying to keep the repair true to the character of the original wall.

Nice little 10 metre section rebuild of historic farm wall in Dore, Sheffield. I was also able to work in a few tonnes of extra stone to really strenghen the structure as well.

A couple of before and after shots of recent rebuilds in Sheffield. One is a mortared driveway entrance wall that was falling apart and the other was a collapsed section of garden dry stone wall that required a total rebuild with additional stone. Two very different jobs but two good results.

A before and after of repair to a large semi-retaining dry stone wall in Dore Sheffield. It was 10 ft on the taller side with mortared copes. We rebuild and repair dry stone walls across Yorkshire, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

Rebuild of dry stone planter and retaining wall at Totley, Sheffield. Quite a unique project- in the style of a Cornish hedge but it certainly looks alot better than in its derelict state. All the same stone and material but with a decent batter and length in. It's just waiting for planting.

We completed this small scale project in Cawthorne, South Yorkshire using a very regular pale sandstone. It was to replace rotten timber sleepers with retaining dry stone wall that would endure without decay. On this project we defined the topline with thicker slabs to create a place to sit under the tree.

Just finished a large scale stonework job in South Yorkshire consisting of grand stone flag staircase and balustrade walls with upright toppers, retaining walls, columns and a patio.

An interesting job we've just finished in Nottinghamshire. A circular dry stone wall built as a memorial to a local farmer. Built from a pale limestone that has a warmth to it in sunlight.
