It has been a while since we last posted something online and we are pleased to share an exciting new project which has just started onsite. Through careful consideration and collaboration with the Local Authority we were able to add 80sqm to this detached house in Chesterfield. Full planning was granted three weeks ago and now it’s time to make that house a home for a growing family! Using our 3D software we have been able to communicate the designs with our clients so that no stone is left unturned.

After 6 months in planning this scheme has finally been granted permission. A development in the Green Belt means we have had to ensure that the project complies with the guidelines set out by the Local Planning Authority. The alterations look to include a full refurbishment; relocating the garage and creating a summer house for the owner to enjoy.

Always good to catch up with a client on a sunny afternoon. The patina is developing now and the client is over the moon with the results. We can’t wait to see how this patinas over the years

Work is progressing well at our site in Bramham, Leeds. Although the weather has done its best to try and stop us! Working alongside skilled trades people, the team have sourced some stunning natural stone that will help this extension blend in with the existing buildings.

You can’t beat a Friday when the sun is shining. We are over seeing the installation of this very large solar panel system on the barns of a Grade II Listed property. There is a growing movement towards obtaining energy from sustainable resources to reduce the impact of our buildings on the environment. This is a great start and we will be working with the client to make further improvements in the future.

Six months in planning but we can finally announce this scheme has been approved. The start on site is imminent and we can’t wait to bring you updates on its progress. This project looks to unify two separate spaces by creating a new centre to the home, with open plan kitchen dining space and more room for this growing family

It’s been busy at WBD. We are really excited to have been appointed to undertake the renovation and extension design of this period property in a conservation area. Something that will truly get our creative juices flowing.

An amazing week on site as this project progresses into its final stages. Working with to bring together the old and the new using Nordic Brass from this extension to a family home is certainly something you don’t see everyday. Just wait until the final fittings are in.

Sliding into summer. When your client asks for a fun space for his grandchildren you create the play barn of dreams. Imaginative use of a farm barn to create an incredible play space for the little kids and big kids alike. A soft play frame and bouldering space offer hours of fun for everyone.

Great to see one of WBD's first commissions to support a project on site coming to completion. We were asked to provide contract administrator duties and site support for the contractor. This included arranging specialist sub contractors and liaising with the client to ensure a high quality finish. A little way off finishing the project has really taken shape and will be finished in a brass cladding, not something you see everyday. There won't be anything quite like this in Sheffield!
