⚡ Keep your children safe around electricity!

Make your home a safer space for little ones. Here are some simple steps to keep your family safe:

✅ Tidy up cables: Secure and tuck away any loose cables. Loose wires are too tempting for curious hands!

🔌 Unplug unused chargers: Never leave a charger plugged in if it’s not connected to a device. Curious kids may be tempted to put the end in their mouths.

Making these small changes keeps everyone safe and gives you peace of mind! 🧡

Here's your reminder to test your smoke alarms ⚠️👇

Did you know that all smoke alarms, regardless of how they’re powered (battery or mains-wired), have sensors that deteriorate over time? This means they become less effective at detecting fires. 🔥

✅ Smoke alarms have a lifespan, usually around ten years. Even if it sounds fine during tests, it might not be reliable in an actual fire.

💡 If your alarm is older than ten years, it's recommended to have the detector head replaced by a registered electrician to ensure safety.

⏰ A smoke alarm that is out of date could put your home at risk. Check the expiry date today and replace it if needed!

⚠️ Are clover leaf-shaped plugs in your home? They may look harmless, but if they don’t contain a fuse, they are a serious fire hazard. 🔥

Clover leaf plugs are small in size, not meeting the legal requirements of a plug to be sold in the UK and are frequently found to be missing a fuse - a potential fire risk.

🏠 Found one in your home? Stop using it immediately.
