Dickinson's Garden and Tree Maintenance

Well that's it, the end of another chapter in my life, nearly 11 yrs of working for myself has come to an end today, nothing eventful happened and at least it was a nice day for being out in the garden. I was half expecting me to break something like a window just to round it off, but alas I survived unscathed.

I've said my goodbyes this week to a few good long term customers, with a tear in my eye, reminiscing over the state of the gardens as to how they are now, as to when I first worked on them, some really impactful changes have been made and I am proud of the things I have achieved in that time. I haven't been able to get around to everyone unfortunately, and for that I am sorry, but time waits for no one and the next chapter in my life must be written.

I say goodbye, I never say never but for now i sign off.

Replacing fence panels and posts damaged from the storm a few weeks ago to discover slightly more damage done by the next two....

This morning was -6.5, I finally found a combination of gloves that kept my fingers warm, it's only taken over 10yrs. Anyway who said that battery gear was pants in the cold? No problem here, even with the battery kept in the van overnight (oopsie).

Eucalyptus completed, two years since I did it last. This is probably the last tree I will climb for work purposes before I hang up my spurs... ironically it was the first tree I did with my new wood chipper at the time, circa 2015/16. It is also one of my favourite trees to climb and cut. It's always nice when members of the public pass by and comment on your work as to how nice the tree looks over all these years. I am sad that this is the last time, but am proud to have been given the opportunity to work on such a lovely tree and not kill it! 😥

Important announcement. I will be finishing with tree and garden work on 26th January and no longer be offering these services to my existing or new clients going forward. I have after nearly 11 years decided to change direction and go climb another different mountain. Until then I will still be working and getting around to as many jobs as I can before I go. Please note I have no work phone number anymore so please don't try and call it, it's been out of action for some time and have not picked up any messages, if you're wondering why I haven't returned your call, that'll be why. I will miss all my customers, chats and people I've worked with over the past decade. I wish you all well.

A new fence post installed today. The wind over the last few days has taken its toll on old fences. I ve replace 6 posts at this property now, just three to go for the full set.
