☀️It looks like we've seen the back of the recent heatwaves and we're settling back into more typical late-summer weather.😎

However, the extreme heat of recent months is still fresh in our minds, and the Summer has left us with something to think about when it comes to cooling our outdoor and indoor spaces.

Unsurprisingly, it’s been one of the busiest summers ever for SD Sails. From businesses and schools to visitor attractions and residential spaces, more and more people are recognising the importance of providing effective shade and cooler outdoor environments.

Tensile canopy structures offer more than cost-effective, attractive shade - their lightweight design can also provide sustainability benefits.

Using efficient structural systems and relatively little material, tensile structures can potentially reduce the environmental impact associated with manufacturing, transportation and installation compared with some conventional structures.

From concept to completion.

We're proud to showcase this recently completed canopy project at the University of Chester, delivered as a full turn-key solution for our client Able Canopies

Our team was responsible for:
✔️ Design and structural engineering
✔️ Fabrication of the steel framework
✔️ Fabrication of the canopies

The installation was expertly completed by our sister company CSI, bringing the entire project together from start to finish.
