I thought I would share this with you.
One of the earliest painted dial clocks.
This was made for an estate in Moseley, Birmingham by Thomas Brown of Birmingham. It appears to have been handed down within the same family. It has however travelled a bit, spending time in southern Rhodesia before returning to Moseley when that side of family moved to Australia and didn’t want to take the clock with them. I bought it from a gentleman in his mid nineties who was most fascinating to talk to. The family were keen photographers and have albums dating from the mid-nineteenth century including pictures of this clock in the hall at Moseley and in Rhodesia.

Before and after of gramophone we recently restored for a client.
It passed through the hands of a couple of restorers before they found somebody daft enough to take it on.
