Portable Appliance Testing in the Workplace

Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing) should be performed frequently to guard you, your staff, your customers and your business against accidents or fires as a result of faulty electrical appliances.

Employers, public bodies and companies all have a responsibility of care under The Health and Safety at Work Act to make sure their electrical equipment is safe to operate. Usually, the faults cannot be physically seen by which why a specialist PAT Testing Company is required to identify them.

NICEIC is a consumer protection organisation set up to protect people against faulty or unsafe electrical installations.

As an NICEIC approved contractor we work to the highest standards as set out in the "Regulations for Electrical Installations", otherwise known as the IEE Wiring Regulations (BS7671) published by the Institution of Electrical Engineers.

NICEIC approval is usually a basic requirement of organisations such as county councils, local authorities, health authorities, housing associations, developers etc. when putting contracts out to tender.

NICEIC approval also means that we are approved to undertake works which need to comply with Part P of the building regulations.
