We are a small family furniture business, we specialise in making Workbenches, Kitchen islands and bespoke carpentry commissions, if you have a peice of furniture you want made out of solid wood and can't find it, ask us and we will make it for you.

All the wall cladding has now been installed. Next job is to insulate the roof internally then board it out with 9mm hardwood plywood. Then as and when the weather permits complete the cladding under the roof overhang. When the weather doesn't permit we will be laying floor tiles inside over the whole surface area, this will give us a hard wearing surface that won't need painting and also it will be softer than standing on concrete. I'll keep you posted.........

Managed to fit one side of the roof after high winds and torrential rain, but we had one day of no wind and no rain. Even with ladders the metal roofing is too slippery when wet.

Off to Vienna for a week's rest and will make a start on the rest of the roof on our return.

Waterproof membrane fitted to the workshop ready for the metal roofing and composite cladding.

All joists assembled and the last two are ready for installation next week.

Started installing the exposed beechwood joists in our workshop.

Bolted down the frame today with 200mm x 12mm steel anchor bolts. I also fitted 50 lengths of 4 x 2inch vertical studs to the frame, and because the frame timber being 40mm wider than the stud work I had to double up to ensure I have a good solid fixing for the OSB timber to be fixed too.

The frame for the new workshop is up and ready for ground fixing, stud work, wall panelling and insulation. We are going to be making the exposed beechwood trusses in our workshop and assembly on site and will be using the trailer crane to lift into place.
I have managed to do all the framework on my own but will need assistance to get the trusses installed.

This is the first unit ready to go to the leather company who will be adding leather to the light coloured timber, also felt will be added to the inside of the tray and drawers and once its all complete we will add photos of the unit in all its glory.

Butchers Block islands for sale, we have two islands one with metal straps around the block and one without the straps. They are made from solid Beechwood and weigh in at 87kg, both on supper strong castors and designed to use as butchers blocks, they have been coated in food safe worktop oil.
Even a teenager can't destroy these islands of an explosion in your house, these would still be standing. You could place a half tonne engine on the surface..... The end grain is 100mm thick and the timber strapping is there only for looks.
If you are interested we are having a sale, for collection only we are offering them for £750 each, a perfect gift for the chef in the family.
