Storm Austen has blown through, so now’s the time to give your roof a once-over.
You don’t need to go up a ladder to spot the warning signs.

Outside, from the ground: look for missing, cracked or slipped tiles, loose or misaligned ridge tiles, lead flashing that’s lifted around chimneys or valleys, and gutters that are sagging, overflowing or pulled away from the wall.

Inside: switch the loft light off during the day and look for daylight coming through. Check for wet insulation, damp timbers, and new stains or bubbling paint on top-floor ceilings. Water can run along the rafters, so the leak isn’t always right above the stain.

Please don’t get up on the roof in the wind. If you’ve spotted anything, give us a call and we’ll come out and take a look.

Great progress at our Norton development just outside Faversham, where our team is currently working across three separate roofs on site.

The first property is complete, finished back in February. Just along the plot, our six-bay car barn was finished in January after working closely with the client to bring their vision for the space to life.

We’re now midway through the largest property on site, felt battened and ready for tiling, with the team loading up as we speak. We’re just waiting on the Velux windows to arrive before we can get that roof completed.

It’s a great example of what our team can deliver across a multi-plot site.
