Well, we're a bit fed up of this weather now-roll on summer!! 🌧🙏

After a number of typical wet and cold Manchester winters, these LED decorative bollards had failed.

We stripped out the existing gear and retrofitted new LED lighting within - a saving for the customer and a good way of working with businesses to find the most cost effective and energy efficient solution.

Our work across the North West sees us working in a number of commercial and industrial settings. In addition to undertaking new projects, we are finding increasingly that regular maintenance and upgrades can help keep the costs down in the long run 👍

🔌Home EV Charger installed locally for a customer in Wigan

The product installed was a Project EV unit - these 7.3kw units are coming down in price now and the product has improved over time. The App is easy for the customer to use and as an installer, the set up process is also easier than ever.

The customer downloaded the App whilst the installer tidied up the area, plugging in shortly after to charge! He is taking advantage of cheaper night time electricity costs 🙂

We can also install in workplace businesses, charities and public sector organisations with OZEV grants of £350 per point still available.

⚡Electric consumption - How much should electric bills be in a commercial building? How to make savings?

We were asked by one of our clients to visit their site to assess if any savings could be made to their energy bills as they believed they were paying too much. Here are a few of the issues the audit revealed:

Incorrect set up of light sensors meaning the lights were permanently on in the communal areas
- Solution: We reprogrammed these to go off when not in use

Trace heating wrapped around pipe work (to avoid pipes freezing) was permanently set to high
- Solution: We re-set to the correct settings

But possibly the biggest saving was to the 10KW solar array on the roof. Upon investigation we found the system to be switched off. Reason unknown.
- Solution: We tested and re-energised this, advising the building concierge to take the meter readings on a monthly basis, also providing a rough guide on what to expect from the system

Simple but effective changes making significant changes to the bills! Regular audits and maintenance can make the difference ✔

I wonder how many more commercial buildings have savings that could be carried out this easily??

🔌Food Factory Extension in Nantwich - Full Electrical Installation

We were approached by the project manager of a cheese factory in Nantwich who was overseeing the construction of an extension to their site. We had been recommended by another customer, always nice 👍

The spec was to design the full electrical installation of the extension to include power and all lighting systems.

John & Ryan did a great job to get the job installed, tested and certified....and got to experience all ranges of cheese! 🧀 😃

We are particularly experienced in working with clients in such environments, another great job to be involved in.

Been busy with lots of projects over the last few months....

This one was for a customer who was moving to new office premises in Wigan. We designed the electrical installation of the whole area working to provide lighting, power, extraction, distribution boards and data installation. We worked alongside other trades to get the job completed to a high spec.

3 EV Charge points are also being installed in the car parking area to finish the job off with the client claiming the OZEV work place grant of £350 per point towards the cost of installation.

Really enjoyed working with the customer and getting it right for them - Hopefully they are happy in their new place 🙂

🔌 Another Workplace EV Charge point - installed in a Warrington based Business.

Customer claiming £700 against the cost of installation (£350 per point) via the OZEV Workplace grant.

This grant is still available for workplace businesses, charities and public sector organisations.

As you can see, we can install in a variety of settings....and weather types! ❄ ❄🙂

Well that was a cold week - hats off to John & Ryan! ❄

They replaced all external lights to yard in Birmingham based factory. At least they got to play around in a cherry picker! 🤣

Recent out of hours job at a busy steel works factory.

We replaced all the old SON 400 watt light fittings for LED and replaced all the emergency lights. Lots of energy related savings for the customer which is good news in the current climate.

Demand for the switch to LED is definitely increasing with energy consumption halving in some cases depending on the business. Helping customers to become more energy efficient! 🙂

Not got around to posting this job at Cowley Vaults St Helens, so here goes....

We carried out the full electrical installation on the 'Cowley Grill' including small power and lighting, distribution circuits, external lighting and heating/lighting to the pergola area.

They have created a really nice space inside and out and offer tasty food too......Hope all going well guys! 🙂

Varied jobs recently....

We've been installing EV Charge points in work places and domestic properties across Manchester, Wigan, Liverpool...

And helping out Northwest Quadbikes with their new showroom/office expansion. This project involved installing a new distribution board and power throughout, in addition to LED lights through the unit - smart savings for the customer. Great job this one and good luck to them in their growing business! 🙌
