First couple of days with building our planting pocket .badmintonteam. Such great lads who have really put in a shift, and no corners cut to get a great finished garden. We aren’t there yet, but all of the heavy lifting is done and time now for planting and fettling.

Checking out the plant haul to make some selections for starting the build for next week. Great plants here from with a huge amount of help from Dave to handle our order and keep us updated with plant condition.

Picking up plants for the canal part of our garden from Lincolnshire Pond Plants. Dawn gave me a tour of the amazing site, which has been specially designed for pond and bog plants. Very exciting!

Work with Four Seasons West Yorkshire continues on our planting pocket. My fantastic collaborator Matthew has been very busy pulling the habitats for the garden together. To reduce our use of plastic we have fabricated a steel pond liner which can be reused on another project. And our lock gate has been hand made from real oak to get that authentic cracked beam look. We both regularly walk our dogs along the so have plenty of inspiration to work with!
