We are pleased to secure for a new warehouse for a packaging company which supports the agricultural industry. The new warehouse will provide extra storage space for a vast range of packaging, machinery, recycling, and pallet solutions tailored to customers’ needs and requirements. The company has reorganised the way it supplies the packaging to its clients and, in so doing, reduced the number of HGV movements needed per week.

With thoughts now turning to Autumn, it is great to see the community orchard planted as part of a small development near Lincoln literally starting to bear fruit after its establishment a couple of years ago. Planted in acknowledgement of the Lincolnshire Biodiversity Action Plan which highlights the importance of traditional orchards and the need to increase the extent of traditional orchards across the county, specified varieties include Peasgood’s Nonsuch and Lindsey Gage.

Michael had a lovely summer afternoon at the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce Summer Garden Party at Wellingore Hall, catching up with contacts old and new, but sadly did not get chance to take part in the “Welly Wanging” or to play Croquet.

In planning news this week, the Government published the draft legislation to increase planning application fees showing its intent to increase fees by 25% on non major applications and 35% on major applications.

The revised fee regulations will be put before Parliament after the Summer Recess and include revocation of the fee exemption for a second planning application for the same development. The changes are expected to come into effect some time in October this year.

We have completed the public consultation events for the review of the South Lincolnshire Food Enterprise Zone LDO at Holbeach and the consultation runs until 31 July 2023. Responses to the consultation will inform the final version of Local Development Order to be considered for adoption by South Holland District Council later this year.

We were pleased to organise the launch of the review of the South East Lincolnshire Food Enterprise Zone (FEZ) Local Development Order (LDO).

The review promotes extending the lifetime of the LDO by 15 years to support investment on the site.

Development will continue the success of the FEZ which already hosts the Hub building, new facilities for the University of Lincoln and AJS Control and Automation.
