It was great to see Summer, the sun shining just seems to make everybody a little less tense and more relaxed.
But please don’t relax too much about your critical power requirements. Even warm weather is still significantly colder than your engine's optimal operating temperature, remember that preheating your engine minimises friction and eases startup, reduces wear and tear, improves fuel efficiency, and lowers emissions.

Benefits of Engine Preheating
Reduced Friction & Engine Wear: the vast majority of engine wear occurs in the first few minutes of a cold start, when the oil is thick and slow to circulate. A preheated engine ensures that oil flows easily, immediately lubricating critical moving parts like camshafts and piston rings

Better Fuel Efficiency: Modern engines run on a rich fuel-to-air mixture when cold. By bringing the block closer to operating temperature before you turn the key, the engine quickly switches to a normal, more efficient fuel ratio.

Lower Emissions: The catalytic converter in a vehicle cannot properly clean exhaust gases until it reaches its specific operating temperature. A preheated engine helps the exhaust system heat up faster, resulting in lower emissions at startup
