Another major retail project nearing completion in Essex.

The CSC Screeding team has successfully delivered approximately 7,000m² of cement based flowing screed installed over a polythene separating layer, alongside Industrial Topping and seal coat systems to the back of house service corridors.

Projects of this scale demand precision planning, programme coordination, and a consistent delivery process.

JOB VACANCY - SCREED TRUCK OPERATOR with HGV CLASS 1

Plant Operator with Class 1 (C+E) HGV Driver
£35,000–£40,000 + bonus | Full-time | Permanent

CSC Screeding is based in Langley, Buckinghamshire, very close to Heathrow.

We’re looking for a reliable, screed truck operator with an experienced Class 1 license to join our team at CSC Screeding.

This is varied, hands‑on work supporting construction sites, moving plant, and being trained to operate and upskill into specialist screed batching and machine operations.

You’ll be treated like a professional, working with a solid team and well‑maintained kit.

Construction experience is important, and you’ll be fully trained and supported to develop into a skilled screed machine operator as part of the role.

Hours:
Mainly Monday to Friday, with some early starts (around 6am) and later finishing when required. Flexibility is key for this role. Overtime is paid and work is planned properly.

You’ll need:
• Class 1 (C+E) licence, CPC & tacho
• Comfortable working in a construction environment
• Used to working to Safe Systems of Work

This role offers a clear, structured progression into a specialist screed machine operator position, giving experienced drivers the chance to broaden their skills and responsibility long‑term.

Seventeen years later… and still performing exactly as it should.

Back in 2009, CSC Screeding had the privilege of delivering the screed installation at Terminal 2, Dublin Airport, still our largest single project to date.

We installed Knopp Duremit 50 across a complex 650m pier spanning three levels, as well as the main terminal building. It was a demanding programme, requiring precision, consistency, and absolute commitment to getting it right first time.

This week, I travelled through Terminal 2 for the first time since completion.

Not one cracked tile.
Not one damaged section.
Not a single bump or judder rolling a suitcase through the building.

That’s what quality looks like over time.

It brought back memories of the weekly travel back and forth, 24 hour round trips to attend meetings, monitor progress, and ensure standards were maintained. It wasn’t easy, but that level of commitment is what these outcomes are built on.

I’m incredibly proud that CSC Screeding played a part in such a significant project and even prouder to see it still delivering, 17 years on.

A great start to the weekend as well, visiting my son who’s recently moved to Dublin to begin an exciting new chapter.
