Sometimes a refurbishment isn’t just about installing something new — it’s about putting right what’s already there. 🔧
As part of an ongoing refurbishment project, we’ve been working on the cabling running from the main building to a container.
Over time, additional cables had been installed and secured to the catenary wire using a mixture of plastic cable ties and even rope. As you can see in the video, some of those plastic ties had become brittle and weak over time, with the cables able to be pulled away by hand.
We removed all the redundant cabling, re-fixed and tensioned the catenary wire, and then re-secured the cables that were still required.
This time using metallic cable ties and a dedicated metal tie tensioning tool, ensuring the cables are properly secured.
The difference at the end speaks for itself. 👌
A cleaner installation, redundant cables removed and the remaining cabling properly supported.
It’s not always about what you can see at the end — it’s about doing the work properly underneath it too.
