Electrical installations have come a long way over the years.

It's not unusual for us to come across older fuse boards, wiring systems, or sockets that were perfectly acceptable when they were installed but wouldn't meet today's standards.

Modern consumer units include additional safety features designed to help reduce the risk of electric shock and fire, while current regulations place a greater emphasis on electrical safety throughout the home.

That's why regular inspections can be so valuable, especially in older properties. What was considered safe decades ago may benefit from an upgrade today.

An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) isn't just about whether your lights turn on or your sockets work. It's designed to identify wear, damage, deterioration, or potential safety issues that may not be obvious during day-to-day use.
