Beware of what's in your walls!

We were asked to update a consumer unit, with part of this job a test on the existing wiring is done to make sure the whole installation is safe.
We found a completely burnt out piece of wiring behind a socket that could have caused a major fire.
The old style fusebox did not detect the problem so it was unknown.

Upgrading to a new consumer unit will protect you and your family from all kinds of risk.
