Job Title: Groundworker Ganger
Location: Cirencester
Start Date: Immediate
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Groundworker Ganger for an immediate start. This role requires a highly skilled individual who can lead from the front, maintain exceptional standards of finishing, and demonstrate a thorough understanding of construction drawings and groundworks methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a small team of groundworkers on site
- Set out and interpret construction drawings accurately
- Carry out and oversee all aspects of drainage installation
- Execute high-quality concreting works including foundations, slabs, and finishing
- Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within project deadlines
- Maintain site safety and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
- Coordinate daily tasks and ensure productivity targets are met
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Groundworker Ganger or similar supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of drainage systems and concreting works
- Ability to read and fully understand construction plans and specifications
- High attention to detail with a focus on quality finishing
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- SSSTS/SMSTS (preferred but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence
What We Offer:
- £25 per hour
- 40-hour working week
