Hear we have another lime repointing job just finished, well that with 2 chimneys that we took down rebuilt with some stone replacements.
The weather was against us in the end but we got there. Have a nice weekend folks.

I forgot to post the finished inscription of this one. Lovely stone to work with quite tight on the grain. But a bloody heavy one, chain snapped on the block and tackle when lifting into position luckily it was just when initially taking the weight.

It's been a while since I've worked on any lettering. I've found that some typefaces can be quite challenging to execute; for instance, Times New Roman is much easier, in my opinion, than this particular font. However, the style must be appropriate for the historical period.

Hear we are recreating a old sign for a church from 1881. using the same printers. Photographic paper and ink and spray paint that they would have used back in 1881 to carefully transfer the text onto the stone 😂 still chiseled the same way by the plebbs back then and in this case me.

Hope you have had a good bank holiday weekend and done lots of things. Unfortunately I have been a slave to my sister on her new venture with the house of dorty clamz or whatever it's called.
