Project Completion | IT Outpost Distribution & UPS Works

Final installation completed as part of the rollout of IT Outpost distribution and UPS works.

The project included the installation of new power supplies, containment and protective devices, all carefully coordinated around sensitive operational requirements and tight weekend working timeframes.

Our electrical team successfully delivered the works ahead of schedule, with excellent feedback received from the onsite client teams.

Another successful delivery from the team, demonstrating the importance of effective planning, coordination and quality workmanship when delivering critical electrical infrastructure within live operational environments.

A slightly different site update from JCB Group today.

Our CEO and Founder, Jeff Buckland, spotted getting properly stuck in on site and lending a hand where needed.

After more than four decades in the industry, it would be easy to leave the hands on work to everyone else. But sometimes leadership means rolling up your sleeves and getting involved.

It’s also a reminder of where JCB Group started and the values that have stayed with the business as we’ve grown.

Experience. Teamwork. And never being too senior to lend a hand.

We’re not sure Jeff is ready for a permanent return to the tools just yet… but it’s good to know he’s still got it!

MINI Showroom, Solihull | Complete Electrical CAT B Fit-Out

We are pleased to have successfully delivered the complete electrical CAT B fit out for the new MINI showroom in Solihull.

Our scope of works encompassed the full electrical installation package, including:
• Power distribution and containment systems
• Specialist lighting installations
• Emergency lighting and life safety systems
• Structured cabling and data infrastructure

A key feature of the project was the bespoke lighting scheme, designed and manufactured by Artemide. Carefully integrated throughout the showroom, the lighting enhances the vehicle displays, creates an engaging customer experience and provides high quality illumination for operational and staff areas, while maintaining excellent energy efficiency.

This project is another example of our expertise in CAT B fit outs, where technical excellence and collaborative design come together to create functional, high performance spaces with lasting visual impact.

JCB Interiors Ltd was appointed by a confidential client in Camberley to design and deliver a new office environment, creating a premium customer experience while supporting the operational requirements of a live data centre.

Delivered as part of JCB Group's integrated service offering, the project combined specialist interior design with comprehensive mechanical and electrical solutions to transform the existing workspace into a modern, functional environment.

The electrical scope of works included:
• Removal of redundant electrical infrastructure and lighting systems

• Installation of new power distribution to support the revised office layout

• Installation of new dimmable lighting throughout all areas

• Mechanical power supplies to facilitate the installation of additional air conditioning systems

By bringing together multiple disciplines under one group, JCB Group provides a seamless approach to project delivery, ensuring every element is carefully coordinated to achieve the highest standards of quality, functionality and performance.

This project highlights our ability to deliver sophisticated workplace environments that enhance the customer experience while meeting the technical demands of critical operational facilities.

Our Derby warehouse project continues to make strong progress, with another series of key installation milestones successfully delivered by the JCB Group team.

Recent works completed include:
• Full busbar installation completed throughout the facility.
• TechTon trunking installed in preparation for the Zumtobel Lighting system, with several lighting rows now installed, commissioned and energised.
• Completion of the Wagner aspirating smoke detection pipework installation.
• Installation of all small power outlets and commando sockets adjacent to the roller shutter doors, ready to support operational requirements.
• Three phase power supplies and BMS control wiring installed for the Powrmatic Limited heating systems.

With multiple workstreams progressing in parallel, the project continues to advance safely and efficiently through the next phase. Careful coordination between our engineering teams is ensuring quality, programme certainty and a seamless integration of mechanical, electrical and life safety systems.

Another excellent effort from everyone involved.

Project Progress | EMA1 Derby, Amazon

Our electrical engineering team has successfully completed a key phase of the LV infrastructure works at the EMA1 distribution Centre in Derby.

The scope of works included the installation of the supporting framework for the new Automatic Transfer Switch, MCCB and ACTi 9 distribution boards, together with new ladder containment and associated power cabling.

As part of the programme, a planned LV distribution board shutdown was undertaken to safely isolate the system, allowing the installation of new protection devices and LV metering equipment.

Delivered within a live operational distribution facility, the works required meticulous planning, robust safety management and close coordination to ensure the shutdown was completed efficiently while maintaining programme requirements.

Another successful milestone delivered by the JCB Electrical team through careful engineering, technical expertise and collaborative project delivery.

Project Complete | Swindon

Our team have completed the installation of galvanised cable tray containment and a bespoke supporting framework to provide the infrastructure for new immersion equipment.

While this type of work often goes unseen once a project is complete, high quality containment and support systems are fundamental to ensuring a safe, compliant, and reliable electrical installation. Careful planning, precision installation, and attention to detail at this stage help provide a robust solution for the client and support the next phase of the project.
