Project Updates, New Jobs Won & Orders In — Team Skill Keeps Moving……
It’s been a while, but as promised, here’s a little update on what’s been happening at Skill Scaffolding.
It’s been a trying year for everyone in construction… but it does feel good to come out the other side and power through, with loyal clients and business partners it has been easy but its our loyal staff that really make it feel effortless. Thank you !!!
We’ve got new projects won, orders coming in, ongoing projects moving forward and some exciting announcements that we’ll be able to share with you very soon.
New project secured with Ascia
We’re really pleased to have secured another new project with our returning client, Ascia. Designs are currently being prepared as we speak, and we’re looking forward to getting the project underway.
There’s something particularly special about working with returning clients. It shows the trust that has been built between both teams, and we’re incredibly grateful for the continued opportunities.
Morgan Sindall — Hartland Village
Another exciting project win comes through our long-standing partnership with Tier One contractor Morgan Sindall.
With designs now finalised, we can’t wait to get started at Hartland Village on a brand-new educational/commercial project. It’s another fantastic opportunity for Team Skill, and we’ll be bringing you updates and footage as the project progresses.
Large-scale temporary roof project
Our ongoing project with another long-standing client, involving a large-scale temporary roof for an educational project, is now coming into its final stages.
Morgan Sindall — Community Sports Centre
Meanwhile, our large community project with Morgan Sindall at the sports centre continues.
This is a project that means a lot to the local community — a place that plays such an important role in wellbeing, sport, socialising and bringing people together.
The much-needed upgrade will help create an improved facility for the community, and we’re proud to be playing our part in the project.
Working along side Morgans Sindall Social value Manger and Southampton city council , we are working towards helping young people back to work and starting a career, please see the full post their pages via LinkedIn .
Across the water — IOW
Our project over the water on the Isle of Wight is also well underway.
This is a new-build project with a new Tier One client, and the boots are firmly on the ground as we speak.
Our wagons are loaded, our teams are working hard and, yes… our trucks are getting plenty of ferry trips!
More photos and updates are coming soon, so watch this space.
And of course, our scaffolding inspectors are keeping a very close eye on everything — insisting on compliance, as always! 😉
Site works keeping us busy
Our site teams are also continuing to keep us busy across a number of ongoing projects.
We’ve also got Phase 3 with Vistry, Bargate plots and our long-standing project with Dandara in Horsham.
Plenty going on, plenty of miles covered and plenty of scaffolding going up!
Royal Victoria Country Park — coming to an end
One project that is sadly approaching its final chapter is our famous project at Royal Victoria Country Park.
The Netley Abbey restoration project is due to head into dismantling next month.
Whilst we’ll definitely be sad to see this one come down, we’re incredibly proud to have been involved in such a special heritage project.
There’s something very rewarding about working on historic buildings and knowing that the work being carried out today will help preserve them for future generations.
We can’t wait to see the famous heritage building fully restored.
We’ll be filming and capturing plenty of footage before the project comes to an end, so please keep following us because you definitely won’t want to miss this one!
Our decking team is growing
Our decking division has also been expanding due to the increase in work.
That means our deckers are staying firmly in full deck mode!
As demand continues to grow, so does the team, and we’re really pleased to see this side of the business developing.
Training, training and more training
Training is also well underway here at Skill.
We’re continuing to invest in our people, with fully funded training helping our teams work towards their qualifications and develop their careers within the industry.
We’re working alongside Simian, our training provider, and we’re really proud of the opportunities we’re able to offer our people.
But there’s even more exciting news coming…
Skill Scaffolding x LTC Training
We’re really pleased to announce that we’re also collaborating with LTC Training Services and will be hosting training right here at our famous Skill HQ.
Our boardroom is being transformed into the perfect learning environment, and we believe this is going to be a fantastic relationship for both businesses.
We can’t wait to see this partnership develop and blossom, and we’ll be sharing more information about the training coming to Skill HQ very soon.
And finally… something very special
Speaking of training, we’ve also entered into another new agreement with a very special team.
We believe the work they do is absolutely crucial to everyone, and being able to provide a service to them is a real honour for Skill Scaffolding.
We’re not quite able to share all the details just yet, but as soon as we’re given the green light, we’ll be revealing more.
And trust us… you won’t want to miss this one!
We’ve already got some pretty impressive footage from their first training exercise, filmed right here at the Skill Yard.
More to come very soon…
