We got contacted by a customer who was left with an installation that to be honest was an absolute S**tshow. I don’t normally criticise other work but this was clearly done by people that were not qualified to do the job. Initially we were asked to pressure test the system and put some trucking on the pipework. When we arrived we found things a lot worse then anticipated. This is why we need tighter regulations in our industry and a 5 day course doesn’t mean you are competent.
- Pipework looped from A to B
- bubble wrap tape on pipe / not insulated
- cable joined by electrical tape
- kinked pipe and split
- Drain hose taped to drain connector not over it and sagging causing leaking inside
- back plate cut out with whole in wrong location
- Unit off centre from location
Honestly so much wrong with this installation, we have tidied up the best we could on a budget for the customer.
This was harder to do, the way it was done then to just do it right 🤷♂️
