An exciting update on the rebuild of a beautiful property in the heart of the New Forest.

What began as a request for a roof report quickly developed into a full demolition and rebuild project. Following the progress and quality of the work, our client has now instructed us to continue with the planning process and move forward with further rebuild projects.

This property is being constructed to an exceptionally high standard and will feature a premium specification throughout. We'll be sharing regular updates as each phase of the build progresses.

Working within the New Forest is both a privilege and a responsibility. As a highly sensitive planning area, close collaboration with the local authority and all involved parties is essential to ensure every stage of the project is delivered correctly and compliantly.

We recently received a call from a homeowner who was understandably distressed after having roofing works carried out by another contractor.
Upon attending the property, it quickly became apparent that the repairs were not only of a poor standard, but they had also failed to address the original cause of the water ingress. In several areas, the repairs had been carried out in the wrong locations altogether. Even more concerning, the scaffold erected on site was deemed so unsafe that it had to be dismantled and removed immediately.
The property, a beautiful detached period home on the Hampshire coast, deserved far better. The homeowner explained they had appointed the contractor after receiving a leaflet through the door and finding them affiliated with a local trade supplier online.
Following our inspection, Roof Surveying Services prepared a comprehensive schedule of remedial works to address both the defective repairs and the original water ingress. The works include repairs to the dormer, valley, chimney, leadwork, tiling, and associated mortar works. The client accepted our recommendations, and our team is now on site carrying out the necessary remedial works.

Whilst carrying out a roof survey on a very large Grade II listed property overlooking Southampton Water today, we took five minutes to capture some beautiful drone footage and photographs. The weather was absolutely stunning, making for some spectacular views.
Southampton Water runs north to south and is home to many interesting places to visit. It eventually flows into the Solent, where some of the world's largest ships pass through on their outbound voyages. Many vessels navigate past the notorious Brambles Bank before heading south towards the Nab Tower, where they disembark their local pilot. They generally avoid travelling west through the Western Solent due to the tidal conditions, shallow waters, and the navigational challenges around Hurst Castle.
