♦️STEELSCAPES♦️

♦️Steelscapes Corten steel edging has become a real favourite on our landscaping jobs and we're proud to share that PCD Build is now a recommended Steelscapes installer for the South Coast! It's a natural material that weathers to a warm, rusted patina and sits beautifully alongside planting. It also gives us the flexibility to create clean curves, separate areas and handle changes in level, all with a slim, crisp line that lasts.

♦️This was an extensive remodel of a rear garden in 📍 Bassett. Working alongside Katherine Lee Garden Design we proposed a natural, easy-to-use space divided into zones:
• A utility area for the shed and greenhouse
• Raised planters
• A limestone patio supplied by London Stone
We used a mix of 150mm, 200mm and 300mm edging to separate each area and step up gently with the slope of the garden.

♦️The second project pictured is based in📍Chandlers Ford. We'd already completed a large rear extension, interior remodel and rear landscaping for our clients, so it was great to be instructed to lift the tired front garden that had taken a hit during the building works and subsequent heatwave. The edging raises the lawn from the driveway, defines the new beds and forms a tree ring around an acer we relocated from the back garden.

♦️TWO·STOREY·EXTENSION♦️

♦️Swipe across to take another look at this incredible two-storey extension we completed in Titchfield📍➡️

♦️We took over this project after our clients were left in a difficult situation by previous contractors, with several challenges to overcome, clearing over 80 tonnes of waste, resolving drainage issues and installing over 2,000kg of structural steel. The finished extension makes fantastic use of the generous corner plot, featuring a stepped-down ground floor, floor-to-ceiling glazing, English larch cladding, Juliet balcony and a bespoke entrance. We're incredibly proud to have turned this project around for such a lovely family, and it's now over to them to put their own stamp on the interiors and enjoy their fantastic new space. Brilliant work from the team! 💪

♦️HISTORIC•CONVERSION♦️

♦️After being appointed as Principal Contractor by Hedge End Town Council, we converted the first floor of this Victorian building into a self-contained one-bedroom apartment. The space had stood unused for more than ten years and required extensive refurbishment. Our team stripped it back, adapted the layout and completed the structural works, new services and internal fit-out. When removing the chimney breast called for extensive steelwork, we adapted the layout to retain it and stay within budget. The result is a beautiful new space, ideal for modern living 🙌

♦️PRINCIPAL•CONTRACTOR♦️

♦️Swipe to see some shots from our project working on The Old School House in Hedge End, where PCD Build was appointed as Principal Contractor by Hedge End Town Council following a successful invited tender 👌➡️

♦️The project involved converting the first floor of this historic Victorian building into a fully self-contained apartment, working sympathetically with the existing structure while bringing the space up to modern standards. Our team managed the project from start to finish, including new and separated services, fire and soundproofing, SAP calculations and sound testing, alongside close liaison with the council and building control. Works also included a new staircase, fully fitted kitchen and bathroom and a high-efficiency Dimplex air-source heat pump with smart controls.
