Out with the old, in with the new! 🔨

We recently completed a full driveway upgrade, replacing old rotten fencing and transforming the area into a strong, clean and long-lasting space.

✔️ Old rotten fencing removed and replaced
✔️ New retaining wall installed using H-steel posts concreted into the ground to securely hold solid oak sleepers
✔️ Bank dug back to allow the retaining wall to run straight and true
✔️ Old 20mm stone and dirt removed back to a solid base
✔️ Fresh 40mm depth of 20mm shingle laid across the driveway
✔️ New 100mm metal edging installed to keep the stone neatly in place and prevent movement

A much stronger driveway with a tidy finish that will last for years to come.

Busy day yesterday removing a dead ash overhanging the road from the field side for a regular customer. 🌳🚧

All brash was chipped and the timber cut into logs, leaving the site tidy and safe.

We’ve been out clearing some overgrowth at a local shoot — making sure everything’s tidy and easy for the beaters to get through. Hard work, but it’s always satisfying to see the difference a bit of clearing makes! 💪

Another job completed by AF Grounds & Fencing ✅

We removed an old, rotted retaining wall and replaced it with fresh concrete footings and pressure-treated posts for a long-lasting finish. To protect the timber, we applied Black Jack to help reduce future rot, ensuring extra durability. The driveway was then completed with a smart layer of 20mm shingle, giving it a clean and tidy look.
