🚪🔔 Residential fire alarm testing in progress…

Part of maintaining residential fire safety systems means going door-to-door to gain access for routine device testing, and sometimes that involves a bit of waiting around between answers!

Lee turned up fully loaded today — ladders, tool bags, equipment, probably enough kit to rebuild the whole fire alarm system if needed.

Even the tallest engineers have their limits! 😄

Marc and Reece have been on site carrying out works on a disabled refuge/toilet pull cord system, with Marc needing every bit of his height just to reach the device at ceiling level for replacement.

Accessibility and emergency assistance systems are a vital part of any building, so making sure they’re fully operational and compliant is always a priority for our team.

Great work from Marc and Reece getting the job completed safely and efficiently 👏

Fire safety starts with making sure the fundamentals are right

Our engineer Craig was recently on site carrying out fire alarm panel checks on a GENT system, making sure the system is operating correctly and all key functions are working as they should.

Whenever we take over a new site, one of the very first things we do is complete a full panel check. It’s an important step in understanding the condition of the system, identifying any issues early, and ensuring the site has reliable fire detection in place from day one.

Servicing extinguishers annually plays a huge part in making sure a building has effective fire fighting equipment. Too often are extinguishers overlooked, sometimes people only think they are useful for keeping doors open!

Here one of our Extinguisher Engineers Harry Farson is taking the time to check over every little detail to make sure it complies. All our extinguisher servicing is completed in line with BAFE SP101 giving our customers confidence they will work, but hopefully they'll never need to use them!

In these photos, our engineer is replacing a sounder beacon base, a key fire alarm component designed to provide both audible and visual alerts in the event of an emergency.

Our smallest engineer has been busy doing the London rounds this week 🚐

From Battersea to St Paul, past The Globe Theatre and standing tall beside The Shard, the little van has definitely clocked up some miles 😄

No congestion charge complaints, no parking tickets, and surprisingly good fuel economy 👀😂
