We can provide you with a “pay monthly” gas appliance service plans that are insurance backed for your peace of mind - these include service plans for your boiler, gas fire and unvented cylinder (if you have one). “Balancing” a central heating system this morning…sometimes this takes ages. But, armed with temperature clamps and a thermal imaging camera, the job is made somewhat easier!!!!

Some before and after pictures of a couple of the downstairs radiators that were causing problems; Green is cold….

For information, the differential temperature at the radiators was left at 12.5 degrees, where at the start it was over 20degrees. This in turn brought the temperature differential at the boiler down from 25degrees to just 16 degrees, helping the boiler to condense more and run more efficiently.

It’s not all Taps N Toilets!

I replaced an old and inefficient Ideal Isar with a Vaillant Ecotec Pure, complete with Senso Comfort controls and weather compensation.

The system has been setup to use the correct amount of gas for the house based upon the heat loss calculation and the weather compensation is there to ensure that continues even as the weather turns colder. This system should prove to be an efficient and effective way to heat the home - especially now the radiators are correctly balanced for maximum efficiency!

Penny the cat and Ollie (the Pug Master General) is wishing everyone a happy weekend!

Luckily, I am absolutely full up with work this week, and then, on Saturday, I am away at my son’s wedding! It’s so exciting!

Fear not, Penny the Cat. and Ollie (the Pug Master General) are being well looked after!

I’ll be back at work w/c 10th November, so please, save all your plumbing emergencies for that week!

If you have a dripping tap you could well be losing 20 litres of water per day.

If you have a leaking flush valve on your toilet you could well be losing 400 litres per day. (The very worst leaking toilets can loose up-To 8000 litres per day) - according to WaterSafe.

If you are on a water meter, that means your are letting
about £520per year run down the drain. (Or upto £6000 if it’s a really bad leak!)

Another busy week has come to an end!

I’ve been busy fitting kitchen taps, mending kitchen taps, repairing toilets, leaks and fitting a gas hob and a gas cooker….Also repaired leaky waste pipes, inside and outside and mended a leaky cylinder. Lots of small jobs, but they are what I do!
