Thought I'd post this seeing as people seemed to like seeing the previous items I've fixed 😂 I love taking on things that others have given up on and written off. This little African figure lost its legs many many years ago, and had many attempts in that time at repair, but the legs just wouldn't stay on, so it's been sat in pieces, legless, all that time. I was asked to try and fix it seeing as it's wood but all glues failed. I had a feeling it may have been resin soaked wood, meaning conventional glues wouldn't work. There were chunks missing leaving cracks and holes at the joins. I took my time and cut out all the old attempts at glueing, sanded it down, clamped it using resin glue, cut off excess and filled gaps, sanded it back and re-stained the joins, and now, you can barely see it was ever broken. I just love these kind of jobs.
