It's been a while since I updated the page because we haven't really had time. Last week we completed a huge job, getting this vacant property back to a rentable condition. We both feel really great about how it turned out. Thought I'd post this seeing as people seemed to like seeing the previous items I've fixed 😂 I love taking on things that others have given up on and written off. This little African figure lost its legs many many years ago, and had many attempts in that time at repair, but the legs just wouldn't stay on, so it's been sat in pieces, legless, all that time. I was asked to try and fix it seeing as it's wood but all glues failed. I had a feeling it may have been resin soaked wood, meaning conventional glues wouldn't work. There were chunks missing leaving cracks and holes at the joins. I took my time and cut out all the old attempts at glueing, sanded it down, clamped it using resin glue, cut off excess and filled gaps, sanded it back and re-stained the joins, and now, you can barely see it was ever broken. I just love these kind of jobs.

Happy New year! We both hope you all had a lovely Christmas and are looking forwards to the year ahead.

We would like to give a heartfelt thank you to all of our customers. Self Employment isn't easy. It is filled with so many ups and downs and unexpected turns. It's not always fun. It's not always consistent.. but it's what makes us happy, working together when the opportunity presents itself.

Our customers are what makes the job so good. Our customers from Facebook and especially those from Nextdoor.

We are now back in action and raring to go. Andy can help you with your carpentry needs, I can help you (weather permitting) with your furniture refurbishing needs, and we are both available together should you have a vacant property that needs a bit of TLC to get it ready for sale, rent or between tenancies.

Finally finished the house refurb. If anyone needs any work done this month, we still have some free spaces, as we've been too busy of late working on the house to book anything in. If any of you following us have anything that needs doing, we will prioritise you.
