With winter approaching, natural gas prices at a record high and due to rise again. Is your boiler condensing? All modern boilers are condensing with most over 90% efficiency. Non condensing boilers are between 60-70% and this energy is lost straight out of the flue. That's up to 30-40% of your gas bill not being used to actually Heat any water.
Also like to touch on servicing and balancing, a service on the boiler and a well balanced system can also save you money on the gas bills. If the radiators are heating more efficiently and the boiler is clean, this reduces the amount of time the boiler is burning large volumes of gas and will allow it to reach modulation sooner.

This Small quadrant shower with a large step was just too much for my elderly customer who needed a solution. We dug the concrete floor to allow this low profile tray to be fitted along with the low profile shower door. The seat and rails give her extra security whilst in there. One very happy lady who has some independence back.

With the old dinosaur of a floor standing boiler condemned the decision was made to convert the gravity system to a combination boiler. The system is now much more efficient and the customer will see a huge saving in energy bills. As always 10 year parts and labour warranty and peace of mind.

Another bathroom completed in halam. Sanitary ware supplied by the customer everything else undertaken by the dream team. Big thanks to my dad for the amazing tiling and joe 'the powertool' for all his hardwork and will best for decorating. Customers are over the moon and so am I. This room felt small and dated with unnecessary boxing in along the walls. Now feels much more spacious and modern. Once again excellent customers with an extensive biscuit selection.

Fitted this lovely little boiler in a 6th floor flat. The old non condensing boiler was irreparable and the customer was on a budget. This main 25kw boiler is a baxi in a different shell and is a cracking boiler with 5 years parts and labour warranty. Even with the addition of a new 7m condense run externally, the job came in under the customers budget. If your boiler has suddenly stopped working due to the extremely cold weather we are experiencing the chances are you have a frozen condensate pipe. This will be a plastic pipe coming from the boiler and discharging into a waste pipe. It can easily be remedied with some luke warm water poured up and down this plastic pipe. If you have experienced this and are unsure I'm happy to direct you via a free phone call. Times are hard at the moment and I'm not going to charge people a call out fee when its something that can be fixed simply and quickly without expert knowledge.

Busy week this week. Old gravity system converted to a new ideal logic max combination boiler. Complete with full repipe of the heating system, and hot and cold supplies. A mix of kvit convectors and designer rads fitted throughout the house. New drops for every room due to aging pipework buried in the floor no longer up to the task. Excellent customers and a pleasure to work for.
