What a week, we’ve invested back into the fabric of our building this week. It’s been hard work but we now have underfloor heating and a new floor in our office to be.

It’s always nice when you get the ‘all good, you’ve passed’ after an inspection, this one even better because this is also confirmation of our extended scope to include ground source heat pumps under OFTEC, MCS and the BUS Grant.

It was also a great excuse to visit this project by Barker Construction where we installed 2 Ochsner ground source units supported by Steve Shimbles of Halifax Renewables.

Underfloor heating throughout all controlled by the heat pump.

The client was very happy to see us and couldn’t have timed his positive comments any better for our inspection.

A during and after this time, pleasant day for working outside for this flush and treatment of an existing underfloor heating system.

The system includes a Stiebel-Eltron ground source heat pump and the works today are part of sensible planned maintenance requested by the owner.

Friday update for this project, flow temperature controlled underfloor heating with another zoned circuit for radiators and towel rails.

A 400 litre unvented hot water cylinder to supply the 3 en suites, WC, powder room and additional 2 showers for the gym and sauna.

A little thinking to try and make sure everything remains accessible for service and maintenance but it’s all in the cupboard.

The client chose not to go with air to water on this project but we have still pushed to make it as energy efficient as we can.
