Replacement of 7 radiators done last week, one needed some underfloor alterations as the existing rad was way to wide for the wall and valve overhung the door frame. Looking all square now though.

A job done a little while back, a waste pipe was run underfloor from 1 side of a top floor flat to the other side of the flat and out to the stack, the waste was frequently blocking and leaking until it completely blocked.

All floors up throughout the flat to locate the waste pipe which was bowed and very blocked.

All new wastes installed under floor and utility macerator pump installed to pump the waste out to the stack, was an absolute nightmare this one was in a small flat having to move furniture in and out of each room to lift the floors, but we got there in the end 😁

Oil boiler attended last week that was filling the room with carbon monoxide, apparently this boiler was service yearly 😳 the customer had just moved in and 1st time using the boiler the room filled with co setting alarms off.

The flue seals were leaking and not even connected inside the boiler, combustion products leaking from both upper and lower burner doors, baffles where seized in place and completely full with soot, couldn’t get any air flow through the heat exchanger, the poor thing was in a real sorry state.

The old flue was removed and replaced with a plume, the boiler was stripped bare, cleaned and cleared of soot to within and inch of its life, took about 3 hours just to get the baffles out. Door rope seals replaced.

The boiler is now running perfectly with perfect readings 👌

Boiler no longer popping, banging and overheating✅
Rads all lovely and toasty✅

Cold spots on radiators or bottom of rads cooler, black system water, boiler overheating, using lots of gas or oil ? Then it’s likely you need a powerflush.
Dirty systems cause absolute havoc with your boiler and system, leading to breakdowns and replacement parts.
