Here's a small job carried out last week. Customers outbuilding was slowly subsiding causing cracks to brickwork and allowing rain to pe*****te, cause damp and deteriorate further.
Initial inspection showed that rainwater from both roofs were runnijg straight into dirt at the front of the outbuilding not connected to any soakaway or gulley. With the gradients of the ground, all of the water will sit in that area destabilising the ground allowing the structure to slowly sink over the years.
We redirected the rainwater from both roofs to flow away from the building, removed and repointed all brickwork where necessary, cleaned, damp sealed and repainted the internal wall
