Invicta were called in to support this property after noises were reported in the loft space. Our technician got to work, carrying out a detailed inspection to pinpoint the root cause of the issue.

During the drainage investigation, we identified a large hole in the pipework, an uncapped redundant line, and several slipped joints.

🐀 Our technician implemented a riddance programme to clear the activity.
🔧 Drainage repairs were agreed with the customer.

Upon excavation, we found that an old slate tile had been pushed up against the redundant line. 🤦🏽‍♂️

Our team removed the redundant section, correctly sealed the pipework, and installed several non-dig structural line repairs to restore the integrity of the drainage system.

✅ Property cleared.
✅ Repairs complete.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about pest control and environmental health to build their career within a reputable organisation. You’ll be responsible for inspecting, identifying, and treating pest issues across a variety of premises, playing a key role in keeping our clients’ environments safe and pest-free.

🔎 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿:
✔ RSPH Level 2 qualification in pest control (or relevant experience preferred – training can be provided for the right candidate)
✔ Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple appointments
✔ Excellent communication skills to explain treatments clearly
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ Full clean UK driving licence
✔ Knowledge of pest species and treatment methods (advantageous)
✔ Commitment to health & safety, understanding the use of digital reporting.

We were proud to support our customers and the incredible organisations they work with during the festive season. This Christmas, we donated over 260 selection boxes, helping to spread festive cheer to children and families across our communities.

These were shared through the fantastic work of:

🌱 NECA Community Garden, South Shields
Delivered two Holiday and Food Activity sessions just before Christmas, with selection boxes handed out at Santa’s Grotto.

💙 Living Well with Cancer
Supporting anyone affected by cancer through group sessions and 1-to-1 support, with selection boxes given to families at their Christmas coffee get-together.

👶 Tiny Lives Trust
Delivered selection boxes to wards at the Freeman Hospital for families visiting siblings in neonatal care.

🎅 BACMANS
Handed out selection boxes at their Santa event and shared with other members of the local community.

Invicta were called to site following reports of rat activity within the property’s kitchen. Upon attendance, a full site inspection, CCTV drainage survey and water test were carried out, during which we identified a redundant drainage line providing access for rodents.

We also noted a significant slipped joint and damage to the existing gully, both contributing to the issue.

A full rodent riddance programme was implemented to remove the active infestation from the property. 🐀🚫

- Drainage Works!

The drainage team attended site to excavate and replace the defective pipework. During excavation, it was identified that when a new water feed had previously been installed, a brick had been removed and not sealed, leaving an open access point for rodents.

The following works were completed:

🛠️ Sealed the redundant drainage line
🧱 Rebenched the manhole
🚜 Excavated and replaced the defective pipework
🪏 Installed a new gully and rest bend
✅ Sealed the area where bricks had been removed
✅ Backfilled and reinstated the excavated area, finishing the concrete to match the existing surface

These repairs removed the access points and structural defects that enabled rodent ingress, helping ensure the property remains protected moving forward. 🏡😁
