It’s been a while since we last posted, and so we thought we would update you all on some recent projects our amazing Repairs and Maintenance team have been working on for very vulnerable clients with dementia and learning difficulties.

It had been more critical than ever to provide outdoor safe and enjoyable space due to shielding and the lockdown’s of 2020. These transformations have brought such joy and smiles in these testing times. It’s not quite the same as their trips to the shops and visiting family, however they can now take time out in their gardens, breathe in some fresh air and remain to stay safe.

Remember everyone ... PLEASE look out for that elderly relative or neighbour. Just picking up the phone for a chat will mean more than ever in this time of loneliness. ❤️

Hi everyone,

Hope you are doing well and staying safe with the current situation.

To keep you posted we have been busy doing lots of work for our vulnerable clients offering repairs and maintenance as well as creating and designing our new logo and website with the fantastic local companies The Red Box Team and Press Creative!!

We hope for the new website to be up and running by September ready for the next exciting chapter of our business. Things have changed and developed since we began our journey and both Lianne and I are so pleased with how things are progressing.
We also want to thank every person who has supported us and believed in us so far!!

As the number of abuse victims has risen dramatically during lockdown, your knowledge and support network will prove invaluable to some.

And remember WE are here for you! 💕

Hello everyone. It certainly has been challenging times for everyone in one way shape or form.

There have been lows for many many people during lockdown. It breaks our heart thinking about all those suffering from Domestic Violence and the families and children witnessing it. 😔

And whilst we were pushing forward making a huge difference with lottery funding to assist with training hair and beauty professionals, lockdown also forced us to pause alongside the industry.

It goes without saying that sadly this training is needed more than ever now. Abuse has massively increased.

And whilst hairdressers and beauty therapists will be starting to gear up to reopening with measures in place we understand every hour will be filled working with a backlog of clients to tend to. Many of these may have been victims of abuse during lockdown themselves.

And SO ... after much thought it has been decided we MUST do whatever it takes to get our inputs out to as many hair and beauty salons/individuals as we possibly can.

To do this, we have decided to record several small videos, covering signs of abuse, support services, ways to help and signpost, the law and what it actually says and and other key facts.

We will email and WhatsApp this out to as many of you as possible. You can forward this valuable information to your fellow workers and colleagues to watch at your own leisure before you head back to work. This will prepare you for any discloses and the confidence to deal with them.

You will also receive handouts with useful contact numbers and direct support from us should you need.

When circumstances allow, we shall attend your workplace and provide a group refresher course with your colleagues to strengthen your confidence if needed.

THIS IS SO IMPORTANT RIGHT NOW. Those victims of abuse need all our help and support. ❤️

Please forward this and share with your hairdressers and beauty professionals to message us direct.

In the meantime, look after each other. Support each other and always be kind. X

🌈 We hope you are all staying safe during this difficult time.

We have been on pause like most of the country ... sparing a thought for the incredible NHS and Key Workers (including our Police family and friends) keeping the wheels moving and risking their health in doing so.

It’s been a busy week both in training and maintenance.

Our fabulous team have been redecorating homes for a couple of very elderly clients ... despite the grey dismal weather they have bright, fresh lovely rooms to perk them up. 😊

We’ve also had a great few days delivering inputs to PM Training Students covering various important topics such as Knife Crime, Gangs, Cyberbullying and the consequences.

A big thank you to the brilliant Realise Charity for supporting this delivery and making an impact in their local community. ❤️

What a day. Amazing groups of Hairdressing Students at Newcastle College today. It was emotional at times.

We have to remember that with every 1 in 3 women suffering abuse (1 in 6 men) ... and 40% of teenagers experiencing abusive relationships (EVERY time this never fails to shock!) ... we will find ourselves talking to victims/survivors and perpetrators. We need to break the silence. We need to share the support available ❤️

And then. After a very emotional training input .... CAME .... THE ... SNOW!!

In an unprepared England, as usual ... we faced a gridlocked city of red 😳

We hope everyone made it home safe tonight! X
