Following on from the last post, this client in epsom has reported that the noises in the ceiling cavity have stopped, after lifting up the manhole both large blocks of bait have been eaten.

This client opted for a non return valve to prevent future ingress as they have a manhole beneath the floor in there office which they do not want to excavate.

Dealing with rats for a customer in epsom, rat activity has been occurring for years with multiple companies attending and not being able to source the problem.
A quick look into the drains at the front revealed fresh rat activity which prompted a camera survey.
We very quickly found a manhole that we were not aware of, after following the general direction of the line and clearing some clutter and an old rug away we found the manhole, the edges have been grouted in and the keyholes to lift the lid have been sealed.
We gave baited the drains and advised that we need access into this manhole to increase our chances of providing a permanent solution.

Rats in Ashford.

Called out to a property today for noises in a clients eaves in the loft space.

After thorough inspection lots of rat activity was found in the eaves in the form of droppings and gnawing on the timber.

After looking around the property we lifted the manhole covers as we could see an extension had been built over the top of the shared drain line.

As soon as we started inserting the camera it became obvious that the rats were exiting the sewer system directly out of the manhole and into the wall cavity of the extension which gives them access to the entire property.

We also found that the manhole in the neighbouring property the benching/cement is deteriorating allowing the rats to follow the pipes externally underground.

Tracking gel has been placed in multiple locations that we believe the rats are using to enter the property and proofing has been advised.

We will be following this up next week with proofing measures to prevent the rats returning and to remove any rats caught in the traps.

Rats in staines!

Called out today for noises in between floors in a semi detached property.

Client had found droppings in the loft and reported hearing the noises in a number of different places.
After thorough inspection activity was found in the drains so the camera was pulled from the van to take a closer look.

All lines were in perfect order on the original clients house so we moved onto the neighbours manhole to run the camera up there connecting lateral pipes.

A redundant line was found that has not been properly capped allowing the rats to escape under the building giving them freedom to roam between the 2 connected properties.

Treatment has now been started and once we are clear of activity the redundant line will be capped permanently.

Had a call from a longstanding customer about rats at a block of flats he manages, first popped out over a week ago and got external rat boxes baited and laid in place, also fixed mesh to the bottom of the bins to cut off the rats food supply and force them into consuming the poison quicker.

Just over a week later and the activity levels have dramatically reduced after consuming 2 lots of bait in the boxes, rat droppings can be seen with the blue dye in them from consuming the poison.

Another week with regular visits and this job should be complete.
