I'm usually all about saving buxus, but this one was too far gone by the time we arrived...

However, after taking some measurements, lighting, soil type, and sun locations of the garden, as well as looking at which plants were already thriving, we decided on one of my personal favourites, a Rosemary hedge!

Rosemary is great and very overlooked for hedging. It bushes out amazingly, can be shaped, flowers in spring, and is an actual very low maintenance solution. Just remember to add plenty of grit to the planting holes and plant a little higher than the soil line as it hates soggy roots!

A lovely day for some topiary...

I love this border, the tightly clipped buxus, the slightly looser Pittosporum Tom Thumb, combined with the ground cover variegated Euonymus, with the ornamental grass adding movement in the breeze creates a perfect welcoming entrance.

An upgrade on some previously very twee planters for our commercial client...

Planted up with perennials with a succession of colour from April through to October all matching the businesses branding.

These will be removed in autumn, replanted for autumn and winter, and the perennials will be looked after ready to be planted again next season...
