Wallace Interior Solutions Limited are sponsoring the development and refurbishment of the classic sailing vessel "Callisto of Lepe".
Callisto was recently found at Bucklers Hard after having quite an exciting life which began in 1973 in the Bianca boatyard in Denmark and was in the ownership of a direct descendant of William the Conquerer, she took part in Royal Offshore Racing Club events throughout her earlier life. We still have RORC stickers on her mast circa 1988 that her previous owner had peeled back to but obviously had grown tired of.
She or her owner to be more precise was we believe on the committee of the Royal Yacht Squadron at Cowes.
She has been sailed back to Benfleet Yacht club and is currently berthed on a Benfleet Creek bankside where she can explore the Thames Estuary and the East coast through out this glorious summer of 2018 with great plans for sailing in the future.
